In a wood stood a large tree. Two humans would have trouble wrapping their arms around it and clasping each other's hands. It's leaves were so dense that other trees were unable to grow around it for some feet, and only grass came to greet the trunk.
Stories said that the tree had been there since the beginning of the world. Some believed that it was a blessed place that could not be tarnished by evil, and it became a place for many weary travelers to take a safe rest.
At some angles, people believed that the tree had a face, but of course it was illusion that was seen on several trees throughout the world. No one noticed that those trees often resembled each other.
After the Great Divide, however, illusions became real.
Like a ripened fruit, wild beings of bark and leaf pulled themselves off from the trees that had nursed them for hundreds of years. Some were quick to call them Ents, but they were not walking trees, just products of them. While they were centuries old, they did not become fully conscious until they detached. They were programmed with a deep purpose that they were not fully aware of, only knowing that they must leave the earth as soon as possible.
And so, like seeds on the wind, the Wilden covered the Earth, trying to find the way to fulfill their need. Their first instincts drove them to the nearest settlements and towns, as they knew that they were unable to fulfill their destinies alone.
It is for this reason that a Kemen'ered named Tulkavoa're found herself in a town, not knowing anyone - including herself.
